San Juan is considered to be the Surfing Capital of the Northern Philippines. “But La Union is not wanting of natural attractions, thanks to seascapes that make it a watersports paradise. The surf fronting Monaliza in Urbiztondo, San Juan is the best site for board surfing from November to February; other good sites are in Carlatan and Wallace in San Fernando. Monaliza Beach Resort is the pioneer in Urbiztondo, San Juan, La Union. The idea came from the Surfer Americans who used to work in the near American Base, WALLACE.

The founder, Mr. Gerold Luebben, saw the opportunity from these American Surfers who were looking for accommodations during their days off from work at the base. It started in the year 1980 with a nipa cottage with 2 rooms, under the name Luebben’s Resort. After 2 years the name was then changed to Monaliza Cottage. Gradually added another nipa cottage with 2 more rooms, since Nipa Cottages are more often than not destroyed after a strong typhoon, it was then changed to concrete rooms fronting the beach and now the Business name was then changed to Monaliza Beach Resort with 12 rooms!

Prices are in PESO currency. Prices are subject to change without prior notice. We accept MONTHLY RENTALS during low season and offer room discounts for not shorter than one (1) week stay (Low season 1st May to September 30)

PaCheck naman po yung rate for 8pax sa december 28. overnight night ng family. Di po namin need yung aircon room. then ok lang po ba magtayo ng tent sa may sea side lang po. will wait to your reply for my reservation. Thanks po.
